Terms of Service
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Green Bogey Group LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company that owns and operates Gridiron Betting Labs ("Gridiron Betting Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and services we operate under the name Gridiron Betting Labs (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is, and what it is not
The Service provides statistical models, matchup analysis, odds comparisons, and related information about NFL football games. It is an information and analytics product only. Specifically:
- The Service is not betting advice, financial advice, or a recommendation to place any wager.
- The Service makes no guarantee of any outcome. Sports are unpredictable; models are estimates; past performance does not indicate future results. You can and may lose money betting on sports, and any betting decision you make is yours alone, made at your own risk.
- The Service is not a sportsbook. We do not accept, place, broker, or facilitate wagers, and we never hold or handle your betting funds. Any link to a third-party sportsbook takes you to a business we do not control and are not responsible for.
- References to the NFL, its teams, and its players are for identification and informational purposes only. Gridiron Betting Labs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League or any of its member clubs.
What the "edge" figure means
Some picks display a percentage we call the model edge. This figure is a mathematical description of a price at a moment in time, not a projection of earnings and not a claim about what you will make. It is calculated by comparing our model's estimated win probability for a bet against the probability implied by a stated price, and it is only meaningful at that exact price, at that exact line, at the moment shown. Prices and lines move constantly; the figure moves with them.
A model edge is not a forecast of return, an expected profit, a win rate, or a historical result. Our models are estimates built from past data, and estimates can be wrong. We do not represent that any edge figure has been, or will be, realised as profit, and we make no representation that betting picks displaying a positive model edge will be profitable over any period. Where we publish testing results, we publish the sample size and the break-even threshold alongside them so you can judge the strength of the evidence yourself, including where that evidence is weak or inconclusive.
3. Eligibility: 21 and over only
You must be at least 21 years of age to create an account or use the Service, regardless of the legal betting age in your jurisdiction. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are 21 or older. We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe belong to anyone under 21. If you have enrolled in a self-exclusion program with any state gaming authority or any sportsbook, or have otherwise been advised to abstain from gambling, do not use the Service.
4. Your responsibility for legality
Sports betting is illegal or restricted in many places. You are solely responsible for determining whether accessing the Service and placing wagers with any sportsbook is lawful where you are located, and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and sportsbook terms. The availability of the Service in your location is not a representation that sports betting is legal there.
5. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts are personal to you: one account per person, and you may not share, resell, or redistribute your access, the picks, or any other content from the Service.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- Free tier. Free accounts receive limited content (currently the Game of the Week) at no charge. We may change what is included in the free tier at any time.
- Paid plans. Paid access is offered as a monthly subscription or as season-length passes. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future billing periods or seasons; we will not change the price of a season pass you have already purchased for that season.
- Automatic renewal and how to cancel. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically. At the start of each new monthly period we charge your payment method the then-current monthly price, and this continues until you cancel. Before you subscribe, we show you the price and tell you the charge repeats monthly, and we ask you to agree to the recurring charge at checkout. You can cancel at any time (no phone call or email required) directly in your account settings (Account → Manage subscription), the same online way you signed up. Cancellation stops future charges and your access continues through the end of the period you already paid for.
- Season passes. Season passes are one-time purchases covering the current NFL season (through the Super Bowl) and do not auto-renew into the next season.
- No refunds. Except where required by applicable law, all payments are final and non-refundable, including for partially used periods.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content from the Service; reverse engineer or probe the Service; circumvent access controls or paywalls; use the Service to build a competing product; or use the Service in connection with any unlawful activity, including unlawful gambling.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its models, analysis, text, design, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes while your account is in good standing. Team names and league names referenced in the Service are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used nominatively only.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ODDS, LINES, INJURY REPORTS, WEATHER DATA, OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY GAMBLING LOSSES, LOST PROFITS, OR LOST DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Green Bogey Group LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: your use or misuse of the Service; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any law, regulation, or third-party right, including any gambling law; or any wager you place or choose not to place with any sportsbook.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can permanently delete your account yourself from your Account page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual property; Disclaimer of warranties; Limitation of liability; Indemnification; and Governing law, dispute resolution, and class-action waiver) will survive.
13. Governing law, dispute resolution, and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects how any dispute between you and us is resolved and limits your rights, including your right to sue in court and to join a class action.
Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Talk to us first. Before starting an arbitration, you agree to send us written notice with a short description of the dispute and give us 30 days to resolve it.
Binding individual arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute within 30 days, you and we agree it will be settled by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except for the exceptions below. Arbitration will take place in the county where you live, or by phone or video, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Class-action waiver. You and we agree to bring claims against each other only individually, and not as a plaintiff or member in any class, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not combine more than one person's claims or preside over any class or representative proceeding.
Exceptions. Either of us may still (a) bring an individual claim in small-claims court, or (b) ask a court for an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
Your right to opt out. You may reject this section within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by sending us written notice from your account email with the subject line "Arbitration opt-out." If you opt out, the rest of these Terms still applies.
Jury-trial waiver. Except for a dispute brought in small-claims court, you and we waive any right to a jury trial.
14. Third-party data and sportsbook links
Some NFL data is provided by nflverse and used under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Betting odds are provided under license by The Odds API. NFL team and league names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes only.
Links to sportsbooks are provided only for your convenience. We are not paid by, affiliated with, or partnered with any sportsbook, and the presence of a link is not a recommendation to bet or to use any particular sportsbook.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in full effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You consent to receive agreements, notices, and other communications from us electronically, including by email and by posting to the Service.
